Staff Training

The safety of our clients and carers is paramount to us. All our family carer support workers have undertaken the Care Quality Commission mandatory training which includes:

• 3 day Common Induction Standards Safeguarding Adults
• Manual handling
• Food hygiene
• First aid
• Infection control
• Medication training

Family carer support workers who look after children (under age of 18 years) have undertaken a 3 day Safeguarding Children course.

In addition our staff receive regular training sessions as part of staff meetings and can opt to undertake specific training courses e.g. dementia care, stroke awareness.

All staff receive supervision 4 times a year and have an appraisal once a year.

All staff our CRB checked before being employed by Crossroads Care South East Suffolk.
